Shari Karp is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been practicing on Long Island since 1996. Shari has extensive therapy and supervisory experience with children, adolescents and adults dealing with diverse issues including, anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship issues, behavior modification, and people with special needs. She is a World Trade Center trauma therapist and works with law enforcement and first responders.
Shari works collaboratively with clients using a board range of evidence-based practice approaches, including object relations, cognitive behavioral therapy ( CBT) , dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR).
