Cathy is the Founder of Consultation Treatment Services LCSW PLLC. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of clinical expertise in behavioral health and trauma treatment. Her passion is in working with first responders. Cathy is from a family of firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical staff and military service. Cathy’s goal is to provide a space to work together to achieve your personal, professional and wellness goals.
She is a Certified EMDRIA trauma therapist utilizing EMDR, (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing psychotherapy) which is an integrative evidence based effective psychotherapy proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. EMDR can also be helpful in treatment of anxiety, depression, grief and other distressing life experiences.
Cathy is an Adjunct professor in the School of Social Work at Fordham University and serves as a Clinical Trauma Provider for New York Law Enforcement Assistance Program (NYLEAP.org) and the World Trade Center 9/11 Mental Health Program providing treatment services to those first responders and survivors of the 9/11 WTC disaster.
Over her career Cathy has provided professional consultation and training, in mental health, trauma and professional development. She has served as a Forensic expert for NYS Family and Supreme Courts and a clinical supervisor for schools, residential treatment, hospital, and community mental health programs.
Cathy holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University. She is a Trauma Certified Professional who has several Post Masters Certificates in Alcoholism and Addictive Behavior, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Integrative Nutritional Mental Health and is a Reiki practitioner.
